The Dragonfly

Dragonflies are some of my favorite summer insects.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I think many would agree they are marvelous wee beasties. Often regarded as totems or omens of metamorphosis and adaptability it’s no wonder they are considered good luck! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This painting is an ode to summer around the wetlands, and features two blue Herons. These hold a lock between them which is opened by the Frog 🐸 ecosystem key 🗝 that was recently adopted during my last release. (A matching mini painting). All of these animals, plants, and insects, play such a vital role in maintaining the balance of my natural Midwestern world. I’m grateful every day to have them right in my back yard. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
